Vertex BD Hardware Recommendations

Memory	16 to 32 GB RAM
Disk Space	5 GB application + 200 MB to 3 GB per project
Display Card	NVIDIA RTX PRO, NVIDIA RTX, NVIDIA GeForce RTX, or similar

Additional Notes:

We highly recommend solid state drives.

Prioritize processor speed over number of cores.  Vertex BD uses 1 core for most tasks.

Standard single family house projects are typically 100 to 200 MB per project.  House option models and larger projects, such as apartment buildings and hotels, can be 1 to 3 GB per project.

*Integrated graphics drivers are not supported.  A dedicated display card is required.  When both integrated graphics and a dedicated display card are present, be sure that Vertex BD utilizes the dedicated card.

*Vertex BD is not designed for sharing folders on Dropbox, OneDrive, or SharePoint type network shares. The risk of sharing conflicts is high, as database and file locks do not work as they do on a LAN, and databases and files can become corrupt.  Syncing is safe when Vertex BD is not running, but active syncing should be disabled while the application is in use.  An alternative is to use our new Vertex Sync cloud service that is designed to work with Vertex BD.  Vertex Sync lets you store your projects and custom environment in the cloud, making it safer and easier to work remotely and share documents.  Click here to learn more about Vertex Sync.

*Vertex BD 2022 and up will not run on Windows 7.

Vertex BD requires a network connection to authenticate the license at start up.

Sorry, we do not have a version for Apple macOS.
